This Warranty Policy explains the terms of the Modelier Timepieces 1-Year Limited Commercial Warranty and how it operates alongside your statutory consumer rights.
Modelier Timepieces provides a 1-year limited commercial warranty on eligible Modelier timepieces purchased directly from us, unless expressly stated otherwise.
The warranty period begins on the date the product is delivered to the original purchaser.

This 1-year commercial warranty is additional to and does not replace, restrict or reduce any statutory consumer rights available under applicable law.
Consumers in the European Union benefit from a minimum 2-year legal guarantee of conformity for goods that are faulty, do not function as advertised or otherwise do not conform to the sales contract.
Where a product lacks conformity, applicable statutory remedies are provided by the seller free of charge, subject to the conditions provided by law.
These legal rights apply independently of the Modelier Timepieces 1-Year Limited Commercial Warranty.
The Modelier Timepieces commercial warranty covers manufacturing or assembly defects affecting the movement or proper functionality of the watch under normal use during the warranty period.
Covered issues may include, where caused by a manufacturing, component or assembly defect:
Where a valid commercial warranty claim is accepted, Modelier Timepieces will, at its discretion and without charge to the customer:
The remedy selected will depend on the nature of the issue, availability of components and the circumstances of the claim.
Nothing in this section limits any remedy to which you may separately be entitled under mandatory consumer law.
The Modelier Timepieces 1-Year Limited Commercial Warranty does not cover damage or malfunction caused by circumstances unrelated to a manufacturing, component or assembly defect.
This may include:
A manufacturing defect affecting the product's stated water resistance is not excluded solely because water ingress occurred.
Commercial-warranty exclusions do not remove statutory rights where the product was defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise non-conforming at the time relevant under applicable law.
Water-resistance specifications vary by Modelier timepiece and are stated, where applicable, on the relevant product information.
Water resistance should not be treated as equivalent to waterproofing.
Customers must use the watch only within its stated water-resistance specification and follow any applicable care instructions.
Damage resulting from swimming, showering, diving, prolonged immersion or other exposure beyond the stated water-resistance rating may fall outside the Modelier commercial warranty.
This does not exclude a valid claim where the water ingress resulted from a manufacturing or assembly defect affecting the watch's stated water resistance.
If you believe your watch has developed a covered defect, please contact us before sending the product.

We may ask for reasonable proof of purchase, such as:
A warranty card may also assist us in identifying the product but does not replace any statutory rights you may have.
We may request photographs, videos or additional information before asking you to return the watch.
This can help us determine whether the issue can be resolved without unnecessary shipping.
Where physical inspection is required, we will provide you with instructions before the watch is returned.
Please do not send a watch to us without first contacting Modelier Timepieces and receiving return instructions.
Where a claim is accepted as a valid claim under the Modelier commercial warranty, Modelier Timepieces will cover the reasonable shipping costs associated with the warranty service, provided the shipment is arranged or approved in accordance with our instructions.
Where a product is defective or non-conforming and the customer is exercising mandatory statutory rights, any applicable repair or replacement will be provided free of charge in accordance with applicable consumer law.
If, following inspection, the issue is determined to have resulted solely from circumstances excluded from the commercial warranty, such as accidental damage or misuse, we will inform you before carrying out any chargeable work.
Where legally permitted, return or additional shipping costs relating solely to a rejected commercial-warranty claim may be the responsibility of the customer. We will communicate any applicable charge before proceeding.
Once we receive the product, Modelier Timepieces will inspect it within a reasonable period.
We may assess:
We will then inform you of the outcome of the assessment and the proposed solution.
Valid commercial-warranty service will be performed within a reasonable timeframe, taking into account the nature of the repair and the availability of necessary components.
If the reported issue is not covered by the Modelier 1-Year Limited Commercial Warranty, we may, where possible, offer a paid repair or replacement service.
No chargeable repair will be carried out without informing you of the proposed cost and obtaining your agreement.
This section does not apply where you are entitled to a free remedy under mandatory statutory consumer law.
Modelier Timepieces cannot be responsible under its commercial warranty for damage directly caused by repairs, modifications, alterations or disassembly carried out by unauthorised third parties.
However, the mere fact that a watch has been inspected, opened or worked on by another party does not remove mandatory statutory consumer rights unrelated to that intervention.
Each claim will be assessed according to the cause of the reported defect.
Where repair is required, Modelier Timepieces may use appropriate replacement components of equivalent function and quality.
Where the exact original component is unavailable, an equivalent component may be proposed.
If a proposed substitution would materially change the appearance or essential characteristics of your watch, we will contact you before proceeding.
This commercial warranty applies only to the extent described in this Warranty Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Modelier Timepieces is not responsible under this commercial warranty for indirect losses resulting solely from circumstances outside the scope of the covered defect.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
In particular, the Modelier 1-Year Limited Commercial Warranty does not shorten the duration of, replace or otherwise limit the statutory legal guarantee or remedies available to consumers.
This Warranty Policy relates to defects and product functionality.
Change-of-mind returns, withdrawal rights, refunds and exchanges are governed separately by our Refund Policy.
A customer does not need to rely on the commercial warranty in order to exercise statutory rights relating to faulty or non-conforming goods.
Modelier Timepieces may update this Warranty Policy from time to time.
Any changes will apply prospectively and will not remove or reduce rights already acquired under a commercial warranty provided with a previous purchase.
The warranty conditions applicable to an order will be those provided or made available in connection with that purchase, subject always to mandatory applicable law.
